The Department organizes a wide range of academic and literary activities to promote excellence in Arabic language and Islamic scholarship. Its flagship programmes include the annual Suq ʿUkāẓ (18 December), featuring instant Arabic poetry composition and literary competitions, international seminars, workshops, diploma programmes, and specialized training courses. The Department has established academic collaborations and MoUs with leading national and international institutions to foster research, faculty exchange, and scholarly engagement. Through conferences, literary forums, academic tours, and outreach initiatives, the Department provides students with first-hand exposure to classical and contemporary Arabic scholarship while strengthening their linguistic competence, research aptitude, and commitment to the preservation and propagation of the Arabic-Islamic intellectual tradition.
