Daruthaqwa Islamic Academy is an integrated religious-secular institution located at Pulikkanni in the Palappilly region of Thrissur district, where the foundation stone was laid on Wednesday, September 15, 1999, and academic classes commenced on Monday, February 28, 2000. Panakkad Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal is the President of the institution. Shaykhuna Cheruvalur Hydros Musliyar, who served as the Working President and Principal of the institution for nearly two decades, was the pillar of Daruthaqwa. It was under the leadership of this great personality, renowned for his ascetic life and spiritual eminence, that the institution established its identity. Functioning under the leadership of Panakkad Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal, this religious-secular institution follows the syllabus envisioned by Darul Huda Islamic University, Chemmad. The objective of the institution is to mold a dedicated and disciplined generation capable of reclaiming the intellectual glory of the Muslim community by offering post-graduate degrees in religious studies and UGC-recognized university degrees in secular studies, while also providing computer knowledge, proficiency in Arabic, English, Hindi, Urdu, and Malayalam languages, and training in public speaking and writing to utilize all modern possibilities in the field of propagation.
