Darul Huda students win Hippocampus championship

Two Darul Huda UG students win the Hippocampus state championship, organized by 8thbatch students union of Darunnajath Islamic Complex, SUHBA in association with NADIA students union. Muhammad K Nadapuram and Anees TA Kamblakkad bagged the first and third position respectively. Hippocampus, a state wide contest to find most brilliant Muslim student in the various academic areas, was a three-round programmed held in Darunnajath Islamic Complex on 28 and 29 October. Darul Huda again went a far in its perennial legacy, as Faisal KC won the second position, from Malik Deenar Islamic Complex, an affiliated college to DHIU from Thalankara, Kasargod. Darul Huda faculty and students’ union ASAs appreciated the winners.

The list of new elected leaders for Darul Huda Islamic University UG students’ union. Al Huda Students’ Association (ASAs ) for 2017-18 academic year published. The list was out by SMS Principal Yusuf Faizy Melmuri in a public function recently, which was the result of a heated polling. So, we are sure that this committee will have plenty of commitment and confidence to find out the skills and to instil them in grassroots’ level.

8th Darul Huda Students’ Union comes to way. New governing body of the organization was elected through three level public election held at varsity. Muhsin Al Karni elected as preseident. Bilal Punnappra won general secretary post. Mu’zz velimukku was elected as treasurer. Swalih ch and shameel chengara holds the posts of vice president and joint secretary respectively. For eight years, DSU stands to develop creative credentials and academic excellence in well manner among post graduate students of university. News team also pledged to keep the strength always up .

Tanur: Islahul Uloom Arabic College Students conducted a history conference “Reading India: A close analysis on Indian history texts” as a part of Independence Day celebration, Aug, 15, Tuesday. The session was moderated by Dr. Saidali and presented his paper on “India on texts and beyond”. The local historian Dr. Moyin Malayamma presented a paper on “politics of history writing”. He shared the influence of mappila muslims on their legitimate legacy. Almost fifteen contemporary Indian historians’ texts like Romila Thapar, Ramachandra Guha, Irfan Habeeb and etc. were reviewed and analyzed on the session. Twenty students presented their papers on deferent aspect of the seminar theme. Marakkar Faizy, Abduswamad Faizy, Dr. Babu Sir, Ismail Hudawi Chemmalesseri, Hilal Alappuzha attended the program.
Independence Day Celebrations in Darul Huda UG Colleges

Darul Uloom Islamic Da`wa College, Thootha Thootha: India’s 71 st Independence Day was celebrated in DUIDC Campus expressing the patriotism and passion towards the country. Working Secretary of Asasul Islam Sangam, Adv. Abdul Salam Sahib hoisted Indian Flag on morning. After Flag hoisting National Anthem was sung and Naseeh Hudawi Valamboor gave words of Independence Day Message. Principal Swalih Hudawi Thootha presided over the function. The entire students reaching 240 numbers attended the function arranging them such an attractive manner showing ‘71 INDIA’. The celebrations included Quiz Competition, Special Talk and Prayers remembering the freedom fighters, Collage, Book Exhibition and Documentary Show. The whole program were organized and conducted by IHSAs- Students’ Union. Shamseer Kidangayam gave welcome speech to the function as Riyas Panayathil gave vote of thanks. All Kerala Malayalam linguistic competition by the student union of Malik Deenar Islamic Academy

Best malayali award(Shresta Malayali Puraskaram) is all Kerala Malayalam linguistic competition, conducted by the student union of Malik Deenar Islamic Academy "MASLAC" in memory of the esteemed poet of Kasaragod T UBAID. The award was won by Muhsin from Darul Uloom Wafi Campus, Thootha among 27 participants of 27 colleges.The competition was held on March 30, 2017 in 2 rounds and award was handed over in the closing ceremony by the chief guest Shihabudheen Poithumkadav.

Educational wing under the students' union of Darul Hasanath Islamic College at Kannadiparamba here conducted a conference on 'Legacy of Kerala Muslims.'The participants in the conference discussed contributions and influence of Muslims in Kerala, the heritage of Sufi saints, and books related with the topic. Students also presented papers on the life of Kunhali Marakkar and the history of Kodungalloor.

Tirurangadi: Calicut university former VC and celebrated historian, Dr K K N Kurup stated that it is undeniable that there is a growing anti Muslim trend in historical records of Kerala. He added that these anti Muslim historians have a pivotal role in bringing the colonial historical records written on vested interests into the mainstream of authentic Kerala history. His request was that the new generations should come forward to disclose the real history instead of writing in accordance with the selfish interests. He was inaugurating the history congress contected by Darul Huda Islamic University UG students’ union. The congress was organised on “Mappila art and literature and papers were presented on different aspects of the topic. The so called Mappila song researcher, Faisal Elettil presented wonderfully about the formation and historical growth of Mappila songs in the closing ceremony.

Vallapuzha: Islamic jurisprudence is the most important and obscure knowledge stream and we want the world based Fiqh scholars when the importance of jurisprudence strategists is increasing. Samastha General Secretary Prof. Alikkutty Musliyar said in his inauguration speech at the One day Zainul Ulama Fiqh Seminar at Darunnajath Vallapuzha on February 18. The seminar was conducted by Degree final year students union ZAIN associating with Darunnajath Students Union NADIA. Samastha Treasurer CKM Swadique Musliyar presided over the seminar stating that those who don't understand Islamic jurisprudence with the exact sense, are promoting unIslamic concepts. Samastha Central Mushawara member Nellaya Kunhumuhammad Musliyar performed the prayer. Samastha Palakkad district president Sayyid KPC Thangal and Sayyid Imbichi Koya Thangal both delivered blessing speeches. G.M Salahudheen Faizy delivered Zainul Ulama remembrance speech in the inauguration session at 10.00 AM. Some scholars who are eligible to answer for the challenges against Islam in the new world must come up to mainstream. Salahudheen Faizy stated in his speech. About three hundred representatives from various Islamic institutions including Arabic colleges and Darses participated in the seminar which was conducted as four sessions. MK Jabir Ali Hudawi addressed the venue in the first session on "Maqasidushareea". Famous Islamic economist Ziyaudheen Faizy spoke in the second session name on "Interest and Islamic banking". Darul Huda PG Dean KC Muhammad Baqavi spoke in the third session on "Modern instruments and jurisprudence". And the closing session 'An introduction for Shafee'i Fiqh' was led by Jafar Hudawi Kolathur.
