The four day biennial Darul Huda Islamic University national arts fest drew to a close at central campus Chemmad on Monday. The highly laudable event, organized by the managing authority of DHIU, Faculties and the research students of DHIU, drew the participation of nearly 2600 candidates in 230 items from the 32 affiliated colleges spreading in the twenty states of India.

Inaugurating the valedictory session of the Sibaq, Dr. Aslam Haneef ,vice chancellor of MAANU(Moulana Azad National Urdu University) declared “collective values ought to be proliferated by means of arts and make advancements possible using it”.

The formal declaration of overall championship was by the P.G dean K.C Muhammed Baqawi . Darul Huda UG Chemmad won the overall championship and SHIC (Sabeelul Hidaya Islamic College) Parappur the second position and the NIICS (National Institute for Islamic and Contemporary Studies) Chemmad the third position.

The appealing piece of the fifth edition of Sibaq was the vibrant and colourful perfomances of the students from states of West Bengal, Assam, Karantak and Andhra Pradesh. At Chemmad the competitions were held at 10 venues to minimise the complexity of candidates within the five categories of Bidaya, Uoola , Thaniya , Thanawiyya and Aliya.

 The prior reflection of the whole arts festival was the formation of dynamic civilization in progress, known to be the Darul Huda culture which is permeating twenty states of India.

Delivering the welcome address, E.M Suhail Hudawi ,chief coordinator of the Sibaq fifth edition presented the thanks to the members who made the sibaq successful from controllers , team result , PG Faculties, juries , contestants , the affiliated colleges, team media , volunteers , gift committee, food water suppliers , the sponsors and the whole students who cooperated with the event.

The Sibaq 2019 is providing an exemplary ideal figure of organization of events thanks to its whole formation of cooperation, arrangements, standardization, classification and team work.

The 5th SIBAQ national art fest ran by Darul Huda Islamic University opened its grandfinale witnessing majestic renditions of cultural art items on 25 January with hoisting 32flags followed by demonstrative processsion labelled under every competing instiutions ofregional and national identity . Inagurating the arts fest Syed Haider Ali Shihab Thangal,chancellor of Darul Huda Islamic University stressed the significance of integrated forms ofart manifestations in the modern world and how art form an scholarly identity in the globalcultural milieu. Introducing the sibaq he inspired the students to have a healthy outlook atthe art festivals.

The large contestant arts fest comprises more than three thousand candidates in 192 items.SIBAQ grand finale is all set to bring together three thousand candidates from twenty statesunder five roofs at Darul Huda Islamic University. The grand opening was on 25 Januarywith hoisting 32 flags followed by demonstrative procession labelled under everycompeting institutions of regional and national platform. The 2019 edition of Sibaq is opento all forms of artistic performances including Kaviyarang (Poetry recitation), triangular debates, Ghazal, Kadahkadanam(history narration) and Padakshari(Malayalam spelling bee) .

Addressing the guest speech V. Musafar Ahammed, the laureate of Kerala SahithyaAcademy referred "The distinctive nature of SIBAQ arts fest is it offers an insight intoclassical and modern culture and the discrete performances in the progressive muslimsociety " . The opening session was felicitated by Dr. T Abdul Majeed , registrar CalicutUniversity , M.P Navas kalpetta , general seceratary of MSF state committee and P. RamshadPonnani, general secretary K.S.U state committee.

SIBAQ, a national art fest ran by Darul Huda Islamic University, commenced its primary rounds witnessing majestic renditions of effulgent art items. The large contestant arts fest comprises more than three thousand candidates in 93 items.

SIBAQ 2019 primary rounds is all set to bring together three thousand candidates from twenty states under four roofs at Shamsul Huda Islamic Academy( Bidaya category) , Darul Uloom Islamic Da’wa College (Uoola) , Bustahnul Uloom College (Thaniya) And Darul Hidaya Da’wa College (Thanawiyya) respectively. The grand opening was on 12 January.

The 2019 edition of SIBAQ is open to all forms of artistic performances including Kaviyarang, triangular debates, Ghazal, Kadahkadanam , Padakshari and Musha’ra . The distinctive nature of SIBAQ arts fest is it offers an insight into classical and modern culture and the discrete performances. SIBAQ was founded in 2004 as a triennial arts fest later it upgraded into biennial since 2016. The Bidaya category session was inaugurated by Sayed Hashir Ali Thangal and the prolific writer Ramanunni attended as the chief guest. The Uoola category session was inaugurated by Sayed Munawar Ali Shihab Thangal , and advocate Soopi chaired the session .

The Thaniya category was inaugurated by Kadannappally Ramachandran, minister for ports, museum , archaeology and archives . The Thanawiyya category session was inaugurated by Sayed Rajah Ali Shihab Thangal and Prof.Abid Ali Hussayn Thangal M.L.A attended as the chief guest. The primary rounds’ appealing performances suggest the cut-throat competitions between the institutions have achieved laudable qualities that candidates share as well as the juries.

As the primary rounds drop the curtain Darul Huda Islamic University register its victory being selected for 56 items .Sabeelul Hidaya Parappur jot down its subsequent position being qualified for 55 items. Islahul Uloom Arabic College Tanur maintained the succeeding place being qualified for 48 items. Apart from providing opportunities to the arts performances, the main tenet behind the SIBAQ is to create a dialogue between the spectators and the performer. The scheduled items on multiple levels really engage the viewer to develop perspectives beyond their lens of comprehension.

DHIU signed MoU with Ankara University, Turkey

Darul Huda Islamic University has signed  a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ankara University, the first higher education institution founded in the Republic of Turkey.

According to the MoU, both universities will cooperate in in the areas of students and teachers exchange, research in Islamic Studies and other areas of co-operation to be mutually agreed. 

DHIU vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi and Rector of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Erkan Ibish signed in MoU. Top officials of the Ankara University attended in  ceremony.

Shashi Tharoor unveils Darul Huda Sibaq logo

Darul Huda Sibaq biennial national arts fest official logo unveiled by Shashi Tharoor MP here on tuesday. The ceremony was attended by Abdul Wahab MP and Sayyid Munavar Ali Shihab,Darul Huda national project director. In Sibaq’19, more than 3000 candidates are expected to showcase their talents in a number of artistic, literary, cultural, sportive items. The students from Darul Huda Campus, and its 28 affiliated colleges in and out of Kerala, and 4 off-campuses (West Bengal, Assam, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka) will participate in the event.

Scholars are responsible for social empowerment: Syed Haiderali Thangal

Chemmad: Darul Huda Islamic University and affiliated institutions welcomed new academic year. Darul Huda chancellor, Syed Haiderali Shihab Thangal inaugurated the welcoming ceremony for the newly admitted students to secondary. Social and cultural empowerment of Muslim community is the scholarly duty, he said. We need an educated and civilized generation that can keep pace with the time. Darul Huda aims to form such a community that makes timely actions to social empowerment, he added.

Darul Huda vice chancellor, Dr. Bahaudeen Muhammad Nadwi gave the first chapter to the newly selected students to Darul Huda secondary, National institute for Islamic and contemparory studies and Thahfeezul Quran college, Mampuram. DH General Secretary Chemmukkan Kunjappu Haji, vice president Muhammed Koya Thangal Jamallulaili, treasurer KM Saidalavi Haji, U Shafi Haji, Dr. U. V. K Muhammad, Ishaq Baqavi, Rafeeq Hudawi and Zubair Hudawi addressed the gathering.

On the same day, inauguration programs were conducted in every UG colleges. Samastha president Syed Jifri Muthukoya Thangal and general secretary Professor Alikutty Musliyar inaugurated the programs organized in different UG colleges.

Supremes of Brunei Islamic university call on Darul Huda

Hidaya nagar: DHIU expresses the hearty welcomes to Supremes of Sultan Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) of Brunei. They visited DH as part of academic visitor programme of Indian council for cultural relations (I,C,C,R)  under central  government. Darul Huda representatives under Darul Huda vice chancellor, Dr Bahaudheen Nadwi expressed warm welcome to this team

UNISSA rector Dr. Noor Arafan bin haji sainal, vice chancellor Dr Muhammad Husain Ahmad and head of economic department Dr Abdul Naser were included in the representatives of UNISSA. And they interacted with P.G students of varsity.

Besides, they visited the monumental tomb of Mamburam maqam and native Dars of Chemad under the Khidmathul Islam society. And they studied the ways and methods of Dars system throughout Kerala.

Darul Huda had signed in MoU (memorandum of understanding) with UNISSA last year when vc of Darul Huda had called on the Brunei. This visiting is deliberated as the follow ups of mutual understanding of both Islamic universities.

And this team will visit the world famous universities of Delhi, Lecknow and Hyderabad as part of academic visitor programme of Indian council for cultural relations

Mumbai: Darul Huda Islamic University chancellor sayyid Hayder Ali Shiha laid foundation stone for fifth off-campus to be built on 2 acre land, bought by varsity authority.

Empowerment of Muslim minority through educational revolution and thus, awakening them in religious-social and political sectors, is aimed by Darul Huda Islamic university through establishing off-campus in various states, stated Hyder ali shihab thangal, inaugurating the public conference held after the foundation was laid. We have to create a generation engaged in creative thoughts and activities, in our nation, he added.

Thangal also clarified that the only one solution for the degradation of minority is to awaken them, and thus the educational model of Darul Huda should be spread nation-wid. Dr Bahaudheen Muhammed Nadvi, vice chancellor of the university, presided over the ceromony

Sayyid Muhammed Koya Jamalullaili, vice president of the university, Dr. U.K Muhammed, HaJI U Shafi haji, K.P Basheer Vadakara, Nisar Ayancheri, Navas KP, Bishrath Khan Alahabad, Dr Aslam jamshad puri, V.C.P Bava haji chiramanglam, Sharafudheen chiramangalam, Abdul Kadhar Haji Mukkula and many others attended the programme. Ali Hashmi Beevandi did the invitational speech and Nasar vellila conveyed vote of thanks. Program was also attended by members of Darul Huda managing committee and representatives of Hadia, university alumni association.

Institutions are established in other districts as part of Darul Huda’s national project. Currently, off-campuses in Punkanoor, seamandra, Bhimpoor inBhirbhum district, west bangal, Baisa in Assam, hangal in northern Karnataka and affiliated colleges in Kashipatna, Karnataka, madanoor are run by the university.

DHIU Convocation Meet Concludes

A mega public conference marked the valediction of convocation meet of Darul Huda Islamic University at Chemmad on Sunday. A total of 778 postgraduates were given certificates at the meet. IUML state president Panakkad Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal inaugurated the valediction session. While addressing the gathering, Thangal called for steps to make use of knowledge for the goodness of the society. “Potential of scholars should be used to help the society get rid of the social and cultural rigidity. Scholars can empower the society through proper guidance,” he said.

He asked the scholars to take up efforts in order to transform mosques and religious centres into the centres of social reform and empowerment.

Thangal also hailed contributions by Darul Huda for the educational empowerment of the marginalised sects across the country.

Moroccan Consul General Ahmad Bin Osman, Bahrain Sharia Court Legal Judge Sheikh Hamad Sami Husain Rashed Al Fadhal Al Doseri, Kingdom University of Bahrain rector Yusuf Abdul Ghaffar Abdulla Mohamed and MPs P K Kunhalikutty and E T Mohammed Basheer were also present.

Earlier, unity meet, heritage conference, national leaders summit, teenage conclave and alumni gathering were held as part of the three-day conference.
